FLOW
FLOW - Cultural Exchange meets Art Residency
Water carries memory, movement, and transformation. Across centuries, oceans and rivers have been both borders and bridges: routes of exile, of trade, of imagination.
In this exchange project Clash! and La Pangée (Bordeaux) invite young artistic people (aged 18–30) living in France and Germany to explore water as a metaphor for migration, dialogue, and fluid identities.
Through artistic workshops, language animations and cultural activities, participants will create a collective performance — a reflection on human movement and our shared responsibility for the world we inhabit.
Dates and Program
Phase 1 — Sunday May 17th to Sunday May 24th – Potsdam / Berlin
16 creatives meet at an off-grid site by the water near Potsdam, sleeping in yurts and tents. The site includes a sauna, campfire and a large practice room with a stage. Through workshops, artistic exchange, and collaborative sessions participants merge their disciplines and co-create (a) collective pieces. The week also includes nature activities and time to explore the area.
At the end of the residency, the group moves to a hostel in Berlin. They bring the work to the streets in a street intervention.
Phase 2 — Sunday October 18th to Sunday October 25th – Bordeaux
The group reunites in Bordeaux to deepen the collaboration and further develop a piece, leading to a final performance on a theater stage. The participants will use the city and her stories as a backdrop, staying in a hostel.
