Niels jansen
Niels Jansen (1994) studied Social and Cultural Work at SUMMA College in Eindhoven and then obtained his bachelor’s degree in Social Work at AP University College in Antwerp. He wrote his bachelor’s thesis on the contribution of non-formal methods to intercultural dialogue for the development of the teacher programme: “Intercultural dialogue in the classroom”.
His first encounter with Clash! Exchange & Learning and with Berlin was in 2014, when he participated in a project himself. This experience led him to return to Berlin, where he studied at the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences and subsequently did his graduation internship at Clash! Since then, he has become closely involved in the field of international exchange and internship programmes in the city.
Within Clash!, Niels is responsible for the organisation and coordination of projects, mainly for entry-level courses and socio-cultural courses. Thanks to his education and practical experience in the social domain, he has a good understanding of the learning objectives and development needs of students. In addition, he actively maintains and continuously expands the network of social organisations in Berlin. Through his long-term collaboration with these organisations and his knowledge of the local field, he is able to find reliable and substantively strong internship positions and build sustainable partnerships.
