Margot potemans
Margot Potemans (1990) studied Cultural Anthropology & Development Sociology at Leiden University. She then did a research project on the meaning of “home” resulting in a multimedia exhibition (Homebound Nomads). She also supervised students from the University of Amsterdam during their film projects at the DIA (Documentary Institute Amsterdam). In 2016, she started her master’s in Visual & Media Anthropology at the Freie Universität in Berlin, where she graduated with a documentary project on abortion rights. Since 2018, she has been giving workshops and developing exhibitions in Berlin museums (such as the Jugend Museum), in schools and in asylum centres. Using theatrical and artistic methods, she thereby addresses themes such as identity, migration, gender, sexuality, local history and democracy. Since 2022, she has worked at Clash! in project preparation and implementation.
