Stichting Schoolclash, Clash! Exchange & Learning and Youth for the World are organising the youth exchange ´POOL´( Power of Outdoor Life) from 2 till 13 June with young people from Germany, Georgia, the Netherlands, Latvia, Moldova, Lithuania, Ukraine and Poland.
We want to give the opportunity to youngsters to participate in a life-altering experience in a setting specially created to offer a diversity of learning opportunities mostly using Non-Formal Learning methods. Often sexism is only talked about in a superficial matter. Ignoring our everyday involvement in the power structures. Therefore it is important to confront the topic on a personal level, in a very sensitive matter. In this YE, we want each individual to enter an intimate & personal journey to develop an awareness & understanding of sexism & gender disparities in their societies/cultures roles, placed in it to reduce sexism behavior on all levels.
Our project promotes equity, social cohesion & active citizenship as participants will learn how sexism is a burden for a democratic & united Europe, they will become more aware of their own behaviors, behaviors around them & addressed to them. By prioritizing young people with fewer opportunities, the project contributes to providing
an equal chance for young people in education.
“Power Of Outdoor Life” will answer to many questions by the European Youth, it will be open to any young person (from Partner countries) with the wish to step in this international project.
The youth exchange will be held in Bakuriani , a ski resort in the Borjomi region of Georgia. It is located on the northern slope of the Trialeti Range, at an altitude of 1,700 metres above sea level. The activity is held in the hotel “LOFT”, which is a good location for outdoor & indoor activities with all necessary facilities for living and working.
